Common vanities: Memories

He woke up at dawn. It seemed like another day, in fact, if he was to be totally honest about it, he had already lost count of the days, and if that honesty was to be taken further, he was growing so apathic as every day drew by.

Not that he was emotional, or a shadow in the world, it was just that as his mother had once pointed out: “He’s just easily bored, too easily”.

The late 50’s have made justice to his mothers Caroline. and between new fashions of the so-called “American Life” she passed away between a whiskey, tall hair and cigarrette smoke. Other than his mother, Jack had never had another woman in his life and he never made quite a great deal about it, as he thought again while having the first smoke of the day before taking a morning shower.

Loads to do. That was his motto, the line, the universal rule, goal and duty. And to remind himself of it, he had painted those words in his living-room wall, but as he lived in a small, division-less loft, that emblematic wall ruled the entire space, like a guardian assuring that every move is done according to the law……..

So this is the very first part of a little series I’m building up! I hope I can get some feedback from you guys! :D

So yeah, basically I’m gonna resume my writing on here! Yay! No, but truth is I need to write more as I’m hoping to finish up a little tale or super short novel by next month! And I hope to get some feedback from here n.n
